Applied Kinesiology

Applied Kinesiology (AK) uses specific muscle tests to gauge how well the body’s communication system is working and to evaluate range of motion, muscle strength, and spinal condition, as well as identify where there may be nerve impingements, joint dysfunction, and joint or muscle damage.

 About muscle testing:

If a muscle ‘locks’ or ‘holds’ in place during a test, it indicates that the nerve from the brain is sending good information to the muscle and the organs along this nerve pathway are receiving clear instructions and working well.

  • If the muscle shows signs of weakness or pain during the test, it indicates that the communication is compromised and adjustment is required

  • Restoring function to the muscle releases the bone and allow it to hold the joint in place.
