If you’ve been following along with me these past couple of weeks, you know that I’ve been doing some major overhaul in my life…..and that means I get to pass this goodness onto you.

I’m reading, watching, listening, and discussing SO many thought and ideas over these past few months. I’ve had amazing conversations with friends, strangers, my clients, and family…. And you know the funny thing? Almost everyone is sharing the same messages. The teachers, writers, and even the amazing people around me are all saying the same things, but in their own language-style, which is great for me to experience in different formats. I love when information comes together and finally gels in my system.

For whatever reason, even though so much of this information has been around for an eternity, it’s filtered out through different channels and comes into my awareness. I’m sure you have the same experience, right? I know that all of the great Spiritual Teachers in history have shared the common messages of love, compassion, self-introspection,and inner joy. I’ve heard all of this over and over. At this point in my life, and I guess it’s because of life experiences, I’m ready to really REALLY listen and practice these teachings.

Yes, I know I’m a Chiropractor/Healer and I should be sharing the benefits of eating broccoli  and doing exercises to strengthen your lower back muscles to prevent injury with you. As important as these practices are, I’m becoming more and more clear about presence of mind and stillness is to our health. Our mental-emotional-spiritual health is just as important to healing digestive issues and headaches than eating the right foods and taking vitamins.

Taking a few minutes to read, reflect and practice for our own spirit is just as paramount to health as exercising, eating well and taking vitamins. Our body is the expression of our spirit’s health.

I’m going to share several resources with you over the next several weeks…..you can call it ‘Dr. Arjan’s Media Club’ if you feel that would inspire you…..that I’ve been really enjoying. These books, lectures and podcasts have helped me over the years, and, especially over the past few weeks and months to get through some pretty rough stuff.

This week, I’d like to share a new classic with you. Many of you know Dr. Deepak Chopra already as a great writer, speaker and partner with Oprah’s work. I found this book, The Seven Laws of Spiritual Success at a book sale and picked it up a year ago. I don’t even know why, because I’m not normally into reading ‘self-help’ books, but something inspired me to pick it up (hey, it was a school fund-raiser and only about fifty cents by that time of the day, so how could I lose, right?). I picked it off my bookshelf last month and am now in my second time of reading it.

I wanted to share this with you, because it’s been such a great part of my healing, and it just might be one more tool for you as you come along on this journey with me.

With love and hugs, wherever you are in the world,

Dr. Arjan

My Challenge to you this week:

Get a copy of Deepak Chopra’s book ‘The Seven Laws of Spiritual Success’

He has affirmations at the end of each chapter. Because this book is a really easy read, you can probably get through a chapter in 1 sitting. Take the affirmations and say those to yourself out loud. You don’t need to do anything else. Just say it out loud, commit it to your unconscious mind. See what happens over the next couple of days. I’ve found these to be so calming for my mind. His peaceful and kind spirit comes through in his writing, which inspires my soul into a place of calm. I hope it does for you, too!
