I see it. I see ‘the look’ when I’m recommending that you continue to come in for Chiropractic care….whether you’re feeling better, or not.

Whether you’ve directly asked me this or if you’ve thought it, I want to give you a little insight as to what I’m seeing and thinking and the WHY I feel it’s so important (and beneficial) for you and/or your child to come in with the frequency I recommend in the beginning and then once you’re ‘on your way’ for ongoing care.

I promise I’ll keep this post short (and the longer answer will be coming at you closer to the end of the summer because I’m also taking some self-care time June and July and not digging into big projects!).

When I’m assessing you or your child, I’m always looking at 3 indicators:

    1. Muscle, bone and soft tissue tone
    2. Mobility in joints and muscles
    3. Balance

As I see all 3 of these factors come into alignment, through the course of our treatments and as you change your lifestyle, I start feeling confident and comfortable that your nervous system is functioning optimally. At that point, I’ll trust that:

    1. Your information highway system is clearly getting the signals out to your body and back to your brain
    2. Your body knows what it needs to do to balance and heal itself

Until I see these coming into alignment, I don’t feel that I can, with integrity, give you the go ahead to jump ship and go on about your normal life.

This is where it gets hard because I know that you WANT to jump ship and move on with your life. Believe me. I know. I know you want to get back to your life and spend money on other things. Honestly though, if you can hang in there with me until I give you the green light to decrease treatment frequency, you’re going to feel SO much better! You’ll be saving time, money and energy in the long haul.

I could say that I’m a testament to taking the plunge and getting adjusted even when I ‘don’t need it’. I just turned 50 and I’m seriously feeling the best I’ve felt in 30 years and it was A LOT of work: time, energy and money. Driving to my Chiropractor for 17 years in a different town, getting Acupuncture, eating (mostly) well, and all the other things I take very seriously that contribute to nervous system health. And I very rarely ever have big blowouts like I did in my 30’s and 40’s. But I stayed consistent and I believe that’s the key.

When you invest your time, money and energy into healing and balancing you and your child’s nervous system, you’re setting yourselves up for a brighter, healthier future.

One where you’ll experience:

  • Less pain
  • Higher mental and physial function
  • Increased strength
  • Increased flexibility
  • Increased balance
  • Greater mental focus
  • Increased energy
  • Decreased likelihood of big health ‘blow-ups’

I know ALL of this is possible through Chiropractic and Craniosacral Therapy. When I’m recommending an initial 8-12 treatments to you or 4-6 visits for your child, followed by monthly or bi-monthly visits, I’m seeing you from a set of eyes where I know how great your life can be.

For kids coming in regularly for adjustments, we notice:

  • Less illness
  • Less use of antibiotics
  • Increased strength, flexibility, balance in sports
  • Quicker healing times from falls and sports injuries
  • Less anxiety
  • Greater overall feeling of well-being and ease in family, school and relationships

As always, thank you for letting me a part of your healthcare team. I’m truly grateful to walk alongside you as we help to heal our world.
